VIN 2P63M140645, BODY 65A, COLOR V, TRIM 39, DATE 06A, DSO Blank, AXLE 9, TRANS 5
Comments: Original owner sold the car to his cousin Bob in 1967 when he enlisted in the Army.
Bob drove the wheels off the car until one day there was an engine fire.
The car was parked at his parents house around 1971.
When they moved to Idaho it was moved to his home on Oak St. In West Linn.
Somewhere in the 80's or 90's he and his son took the original motor to a machine shop,
unfortunately that shop closed down and the motor was lost.
The car sat in a garage until Bob passed in 2022. Jim bought the car unaware of Vin code or full story.
Bob's widow remembered her first date in that car when she was 15 years old.

Comments: : It was completely original when I bought it in 2020 with 51k miles.
I have since rebuilt the motor and made it a 434 stroker with EFI.
I matched it with a 4L80E transmission. I replaced the convertible top.
The body and interior are in good shape. I now drive it almost daily in the summer.

Comments: Found on the Autohunter website, by Charlie Arolla. Reported as unrestored.
The odometer currently shows approximately 6800 miles, although the true mileage is unknown.
The seller on Autohunter stated that her husband purchased the car in 1990 from a man in Canada
that had 40 original low mileage cars in a warehouse. It was shipped by the owner and has been garaged ever since.
Her husband would only drive it to local car shows. He was told by the seller at the time,
that it was all original paint, interior, and matching numbers. They have always maintained the
car over the years and they have some records. They don't have any records from the previous owner.

Owner unknown I guessed on the Lansing DSO. As well as the date.
But several Wayne built cars near this sequence all have this date code.

Comments: I have owned my 1962 Country Sedan since 1991. The color is Sandshell Beige
with brown Pogostick and pearl vinyl. It is all original except for an
engine/transmission rebuild. It has all major options except power side windows.
I am the second owner. My car spent its first life on a horse farm as a tow vehicle.
It was not an everyday car. I think it is very well preserved for its age and mileage (149,000).
Everything works on the car. All paint and chrome are original.
The interior is in very good condition. The anodized trim and emblems present as almost perfect.
It is pictured in the David Temple book "Full-Size Fords, 1955-70" on pages 65 and 66.
It has always been kept inside. It had a "stall" in the hose barn where it lived its first 29 years!

Comments: I bought the car new at Ingels Ford in Maryville, Mo., while in the service.
I drove it until 1969 and 64,396 miles. I was offered $600 on a trade in, so
drove it home and parked it. Have just got it running again (May 23).
The car had a 4.11 rear end in it when I bought it and now has three two barrels installed.
