Comments: We went to Georgia to fetch this Fordoor. I was excited about a
3spd OD car. And Ac to boot.car was repainted and made road worthy about
10 years ago. At some point the OD R11-1P was replaced with a standard
C3AZ 3spd. I was disappointed. I have gathered everything but a new cable
to put the OD back as it should be. Fun car to run about in.

Comments: This car was purchased new by my great uncle. He considered it a real hot rod since
it was the first V8 he ever owned. As a teen gear head in the 70s, he hired me to do
maintenance and repairs like brakes, shocks, tune ups and oil changes. He had a minor front collision in 1986 and gave up driving. He gave it to me shortly afterwards and passed away
about a year later. It needed a hood, both fenders, grille etc. I found a parts car a couple
years later and bought it for $600. I drove the car around occasionally for a few years until
it blew a brake line, then I just started it up every now and then. Then family and work took
over and it sat for about 20 years. Now that I'm retired I finally have a chance to work
on it. Last year my grandson and I started restoring it. We pulled the engine and transmission
out cleaned and painted the frame, installed new ball joints, bushings etc. And a complete
new brake system. Car has 74999 original miles. Hope to have it back on the road within
the year.

Comments: My 1962 ford galaxie 500 is a barn find that was parked in 1978 where it sat
for 40 years before I got her. I then took the engine and transmission out.
I replaced all of the gaskets, timing chain, and oil pump. For the transmission I
had it rebuilt and she shifts awesome. The paint, body, and interior is all
original and in great condition. I get all kinds of looks and comments.
