Comments: October 1995 I drove 100 miles to my wife’s Uncles house, spent the night there got up early and proceeded to gather parts from a certain yard in Altoona, PA that Had 15 or more 62 galaxies waiting for me. The main reason for the trip was to get a convertible windshield for a club member in California. My cousin Ken came along for the trip. Just as we were getting ready to pull out.... in they dragged this perfect turquoise fordoor sedan. It was in amazing condition looked garage kept, the only downside , the trunk was in the back seat but the front was all there. So for a small sum I obtained the grill, headlight doors, padded dash, sunvisors, seat guards all in perfect condition. Wish I had another fifty bucks I could have had the front clip. This grill is on number 18 as well as the dash pad and sunvisors. Submitted by Jim Holmes, 05/16/2008.

Comments: I was in need of some floor pans in 2003. In June I pick up some Galaxie parts from Charlie I had met thru an online auction site. I went to his spot at the Ford show in Carlisle and soon he said he had just the car for me. Some how the property he just bought had this 62 Galaxie the and some clown put a Honda on its roof to store it , of course the roof was crushed so I went to VA and dragged this one back near where it was built. My oldest boy learned how to remove the spot welds from floor pans on this car and is now a master craftsman in the restoration part of the business. So.........from this car I saved one quarter panel complete, the seats, Trans, block, the fenders were shot and doors were rough but I kept them . The Floor pan is in registry number 19. Both of my boys dismantled this car and tore their first engine down as well.

Good Times ......Good Times

Comments: This car was in poor shape, with the frame needing a lot of work and a lot of time. I passed on it in 1987 when I first saw it for sale. Come 1992 I had a fellow ‘62 nut looking for a 390 engine. Then I met a pair of brothers needing both quarter panels. I dove down business route 1 near Langhorne and found it sitting behind McCays shop right where I had last seen it. I parted this car out. It was all a done deal on a Saturday at a friends house. I still have the deck lid and the doors. I'm sure the seat guards and inner headlamp doors are mixed in with the many. Submitted by jim Holmes, 05/16/2008.

Comments: I found this car in a yard that was closed due to county regulations, but still had all its cars from when it closed in the 70's The door tag came home with me cause it was so close to my birthday. So I just today I came across the tag and thought I would enter it. I tried to get to it and get the 3:56 rear out of it. It was in very poor condition at that time. The property was sold and all the cars were removed about two years ago. Then the buyer backed out of the deal and the cars went away for nothing. Submitted by Jim Holmes, 05/16/2008.

Comments: Just Found - Complete intact straight car. Exterior - Paint was worn out, so just repainted original color. Looks beautiful, gets great comments. All trim complete, good and straight except one headlight ring has minor dents. All trim could use a good polish. Interior - Complete. Everything works except fuel gauge & clock, will fix shortly. Carpets good, seats need new upholstery, splitting at the seams, but feel good. No rust in the floors or trunk. All trunk kit is complete and in good shape w/spare tire and jack kit. Will need to replace some rubber bushings in front suspension. This was a country car and has seen some dirt roads. Found up by Mt. Spokane in WA. Submitted by bknack, 06/28/2008.
