Comments: Extremely nice example - 15000 original miles - older restoration - extremely straight body with no evidence of patch panels or body filler - floors and trunk are factory original and perfect - repainted from original white to red - just purchased from an older gentlemen who meticulously cared for this car for the last 20 years during which time he put only 500 miles on the car. 366. VIN 2J62X120531, BODY 54A, COLOR A, TRIM 45, DATE 17L, DSO blank, AXLE 6, TRANS 2
Options: AM Radio, Heater, Overdrive, Wide Whitewall Tires, Clock Comments: This car was delivered to Reed Miller here in Grand Junction, Colorado. I have the original window sticker and all 5 oil changes right to the current date of 4-4-2009. This car has a unreal original 10,409 miles. The car is 100% original and untouched in mint as new condition. It even has small red paper inspection stickers on the firewall both front fender jams from the factory and black decals on the headlights with ford script. 100% 5 original General wide white tires like new! Jack and spare are still new never touched. The car came with a rare overdrive 3 speed on the tree and 352 engine.
QUESTIONS: Is this a rare factory production car with the 352 O.D.? What do you believe is the current market value: Any rare original collectors please contact me by the email below. Submitted by CHRIS MORRIS, 04/04/2009.
Email: 1957CHEVROLET@BRESNAN.NET
Registry comments: The overdrive was an option on most of the 62 Galaxies and would not normally be considered a rare addition to the car. As far as value, this would definitely be on the high end due to the very low mileage. They are only original once. To determine a true value, it should be appraised by a professional and even then it is only an estimate. The true value is the amount a buyer will pay and the amount the seller will accept. For a ballpark estimate you should pick up an Old Cars Price Guide at a news stand and follow their grading and pricing.

368. VIN 2U62X122383, BODY 54A, COLOR A, TRIM 56, DATE 14M, DSO blank, AXLE 1, TRANS 4
Comments: Found car sitting beside road. Had just been pulled out of barn where it had sat for several years. Heads and right exhaust manifold were missing. One piston had a hole burnt in it. Car is complete other than that. Body in great condition with no rust anywhere. Has original paint and interior. Has original trunk mat and original spare tire and jack still in place with jacking instructions still attached, looked to have padded dash. Had letters on dash PD. Owner said that he was second owner, and that he was driving it till it started missing. Took it to shop and they said heads were shot and engine was not worth rebuilding so put it in barn where it sat till he decided to sell it. Submitted by Danny Grant, 04/21/2009.

Comments: I got this vehicle in a 63 Galaxie deal. I almost sent it to the crusher as it is in really bad condition. I have decided to start a minor restoration and race it in street legal races. It still has the original drive train minus heads, intake, exhaust. Someone raced it before as the hood was cut out for a scoop or blower. It lost all the glass to vandals and most of the body to rust. I heard it was a rare combo of 406 and 3 speed who knows.. might be worth more than a dollar. Submitted by Leonard coe, 04/25/2009.

Registry note: She was a 406, 4 bbl with overdrive and 3.50:1 axle. The overdrive option with a 406 was probably pretty rare.

372. VIN 2U62X136022, BODY 62A, COLOR FM, TRIM 12, DATE 05C, DSO 63, AXLE 1, TRANS 4
Options: Power Steering
Comments: The car is going through a complete makeover. It was removed from the frame and all the suspension is new. It has rack and pinion and power disk brakes now. Much of the trim will be deleted and it will look more like a 62B body than a 62A. I am building a 390 and C6 to put in it. I want it to appear stock with some modern conveniences. 374. VIN 2U61W152143, BODY 62A, COLOR J, TRIM 45, DATE 15E, DSO 31, AXLE 1, TRANS 3
Options: The only options that I am aware of are the 292 Y-block, 2 speed Fordomatic, radio and heater.
Comments: I bought this Club Sedan 8 months ago and replaced the original 292 Y-block, 2 speed Fordomatic with a 400+ HP 390 FE and C-6. The body and interior are original but in need of paint and new upholstery. The red cloth interior was probably somewhat rare. There are the usual rust spots on '62's but minor stuff and very fixable. The car was built without power steering or brakes. Submitted by Alan Estergomy, 05/29/2009.

Comments: I bought this car at a farm Auction for $100.00 I have a 1966 Ford LTD with a 428 FE Engine and automatic Transmission in it. I am thinking of pulling the 428 and building a Nostalgia Race car out of the ‘62. Time and Money is all it takes and I have very little of either. Submitted by Max Womack, 07/03/2009.
